noon or Amazon Saudi Arabia: how do you compare them before you order?

Should I order from noon or from Amazon Saudi Arabia?

noon and Amazon Saudi Arabia are alike in many ways: both give you 15 days to return most items, and both let you pay in installments through Tabby and Tamara. They differ in the subscription, with noon One at SAR 29.99 a month and Prime at SAR 16 a month or SAR 140 a year, and in the kind of code: a noon code usually pays cashback as noon credit after delivery, while an Amazon code lowers the price at checkout. The choice is yours, based on what you buy, how often you order, and how you like to pay.

noon One or Amazon Prime: what does each cost, and what do you get?

At both stores, the subscription is mostly about delivery. noon One is SAR 29.99 a month, with a 7-day free start if you have never subscribed. Subscribers skip the fee once a noon Express order passes SAR 50, and in Riyadh an eligible order over SAR 100 can arrive the same day for free.

Amazon Prime costs SAR 16 a month or SAR 140 a year, both including VAT, according to Amazon Saudi Arabia's help page in October 2026. It gives you free same-day delivery in Riyadh and Jeddah on orders above SAR 100 placed before 12 pm. It also gives free next-day or two-day delivery on eligible items in certain cities, with no minimum order.

Prime adds benefits beyond delivery: member-only deals all year, including Prime Day, 24-hour early access to deals during events such as White Friday, and Prime Video. You can't buy Prime with cash on delivery; you pay with a credit card, a mada card or gift card balance.

Prime renews automatically at the end of each period. If you only want it for one sale season, choose to cancel on renewal from the Prime page after you join, and the benefits stay until the renewal date.

When is delivery free if you don't subscribe?

At noon, the delivery fee changes from one city to another, and the time of your order affects it too. You see the full amount on the checkout page before you confirm.

Amazon Saudi Arabia has a clear rule: once eligible items fulfilled by Amazon reach SAR 100 or more, shipping is free. The order then arrives within 1 to 2 business days after all its items are ready to ship. Items sold and shipped by other sellers don't count toward that amount.

If your order doesn't reach the threshold, Amazon's standard delivery starts from SAR 12 and depends on the type of items in your cart. That is what Amazon Saudi Arabia's free shipping page says in October 2026.

On Amazon, check who ships the item on its product page. That decides whether it counts toward the SAR 100 threshold.

Can you pay cash on delivery, and what does it cost?

Paying the courier at noon adds SAR 18, and only on orders up to SAR 6,500. Lockers and gift addresses can't take it. Keep in mind that the fee stays with noon even if you later return the item.

At Amazon Saudi Arabia the fee is SAR 17, and it isn't refunded. In October 2026, though, Amazon's help page lists the option as paused for now and points shoppers to card, mada, pay-later or gift card payment. Look at the checkout page before you plan on paying in cash.

When it returns, the page lists cases where the option won't show, including:

Your open orders add up to more than SAR 1,000.
You combine it with a card, installments or gift card balance on the same order.
Your cart holds items from sellers who don't accept it, or from Amazon Global Store.
You ship to a pick-up location, or buy an extended warranty or a digital product.

If you pay in advance by card or mada, you skip the cash on delivery fee at either store.

How many days do you have to return an item at each store?

noon gives you 15 days after delivery for anything returnable, and each product page says whether an item is. Items that can't be returned include groceries, food and underwear. The refund usually takes 5 to 7 working days, after noon has handled the return.

At Amazon Saudi Arabia most items can be returned within 15 days of receipt, including electronics, beauty products, and home and kitchen goods. Fashion and baby products get longer: 30 days covers clothes, shoes and accessories, baby goods, and jewellery, bags, luggage and watches. Groceries, food, and digital games and software can't be returned, while TVs and large appliances are replacement only.

After the courier picks up the item, Amazon may take up to two weeks to receive and process the return. The money then shows on your card within 3 to 5 business days, or within 4 business hours if you choose Amazon Balance. If you bought from another seller on Amazon, that seller may offer a more generous policy, shown on their page.

The return window starts on the day you receive the order. Take photos of the item and its packaging when it arrives, and keep the box until the window closes.

How do you pay in installments with Tabby or Tamara at each store?

On noon Saudi Arabia you can split the order through Tabby or Tamara into 4 payments at most, with no interest. Orders over SAR 1,000 can also be spread out on a credit card from one of noon's partner banks in the Kingdom. Installments aren't available with cash on delivery.

On Amazon Saudi Arabia, Tabby offers 4 or 6 equal monthly payments, and Amazon's page says they come with no interest and no fees. The minimum order is SAR 100 and the maximum SAR 15,000, with exceptions for some items. The 6-month plan only shows on eligible items, and every item can be paid with Tabby except gift cards.

With Tabby on Amazon, you pay the first payment on the day you buy, and the rest is taken each month from the card you linked.

When should you pick noon, and when Amazon?

No store suits everyone. The difference shows in your own order: what you buy, how often you order, which city you live in and how you pay. So compare the final price of the same item at both stores, after shipping, the code and any payment fee, not just the listed price.

For sale seasons, noon's biggest is Yellow Friday in late November, usually preceded by the 11.11 offers. Amazon Saudi Arabia has a page called "White Friday 2026" that showed no dates yet in October 2026, and it also holds Prime Day for Prime members.

These examples can help you decide:

Pick noon if you order often from noon Express, need cash on delivery right now, or are happy with cashback that comes back as credit to spend at noon later.
Pick noon if you hold the SAB noon Visa card, which pays noon credit on what you spend there.
Pick Amazon if you want a discount that lowers the price at checkout, a 6-payment Tabby plan on an eligible item, or 30 days to return clothing and shoes.
Pick Amazon if you order from its Global Store, or other Prime benefits such as Prime Video are useful to you.

Questions and answers

Do I need noon One or Prime to order from either store?

No. You can order from both without a subscription and pay a delivery fee when your order doesn't meet the free delivery rules. A subscription pays off if you order often, so compare its monthly fee with what you usually spend on delivery in a month.

Is there a way to get noon One without the monthly fee?

The SAB noon Visa card includes a free noon One subscription for two years, as long as you activate it within the first 12 months after activating the card. The card itself has an annual fee of SAR 199 plus VAT.

Does a Prime membership from another country work on Amazon Saudi Arabia?

No. Amazon says you need an Amazon.sa Prime membership to get Prime benefits in Saudi Arabia. You can keep your other membership for its benefits in its own country.

Do I get the Prime fee back if I cancel?

According to Amazon's Prime fee page, if you haven't placed a Prime-eligible order or used Prime benefits, you are eligible for a full refund. If you have used them, read what the membership page shows when you cancel.

Why didn't the price drop after I entered a noon code?

Because most noon codes give you cashback, not an instant discount. Look for the message on the checkout page saying the code was accepted, then check your noon balance after the order reaches you.

Which store delivers faster?

It depends on your city and the item. In Riyadh, noon One delivers an eligible order on the same day above SAR 100, and Prime delivers on the same day in Riyadh and Jeddah for orders above SAR 100 placed before 12 pm. The product page in each app shows the arrival date before you buy.
